What is Mitigation Banking?

Mitigation banking allows the trade of credits to compensate for unavoidable loss of wetlands. By creating, restoring and preserving wetlands, mitigation bankers earn mitigation credits that can then be sold to permittees and others who impact wetlands or other natural resources. Learn More
